Dahme/Mark is a town belonging to the district of Teltow-Fläming in southern Brandenburg, located about 70 km south of the capital, in the Lower Fläming region. The historic town center is well-preserved with numerous historical buildings. Even in the Middle Ages, the present-day main street was of great importance; it was along this important trade route that the artisan settlement Burgwarte DAMA was established. Today, the town hall, a prominent landmark, is the first thing that catches the eye.
INFRASTRUCTURE | GEOGRAPHY
The river Dahme flows through the town, originating nearby and flowing into the Spree in Berlin-Köpenick. Dahme is located on Federal Highway 102 between Jüterbog and Luckau. The state roads L 70 (Trebbin–Doberlug-Kirchhain) and L 71 (Schönewalde–Drahnsdorf) also pass through the town.
